This 8 hour course is designed to further develop a police officer’s understanding of the capabilities of the policehandgun.  The student will learn:

·  Techniques to improve judgement / mitigate stress, tunnel vision, and auditory exclusion

·  Understand wound ballistics and how that applies to handgun tactics and doctrine

·  Reduce the time to make fight stopping hits from the ready position and the holster

·  Extended range shooting

·  Multiple target engagements

·  Moving while shooting vs. moving to shoot

·  Introduction to reflex sights

 

The training staff is comprised of individuals who have a wealth ofexperience as instructor trainers and  utilizing these weapons in real worldsituations; from police patrol duty and police special weapons teams, tomilitary Special Operations conducted in the War on Terrorism.

 

Students should expect a fast paced and physically active learning environment that will include  running, kneeling and quickly assuming various unique shooting positions. 

Student Must Provide:

·       Duty Handgun

·       Duty belt/holster

·    600 rds handgun ammunition

·       5 dummy rounds

·    Hat, ear protection, eye protection

·       3 (or more) magazines

·       Lunch / Water
